CHATEAU DINNER
the dinner was composed of salad, shepherd's pie, and cinnamon apples. they were so delicious. i think i got super full off of just apples. then turned around and ate cookies like an hour later. i found out after we got here that the word for cookies is biscuits. when i think of biscuits i think of something totally different than that. i miss our biscuits. lol.

MY HOST FAMILY
They have one of the most amazing houses i have ever seen. its nice and spacious with plenty of rooms for them and their children. They also have a studio- a room for their painting and a another separate room for sewing. i personally feel that the room for sewing is the best room. lol. Their artwork is amazing i love every thing about it. They have it all over the house and it is simply beautiful. I am so glad i signed up for this. They tried to teach me some words in French but of course i forgot them already. The only word i remember was the word for the color red. which is rouge

MEETING MY HOST FAMILY
The long awaited host family meeting was a great success. I finally met them and they are the sweetest things ever. They are very artistic. They paint, sew, are into photography, and are simply awesome. They have two children one 5 and the other 2. The kids are so sweet. The host family get together was pretty nice. I didnt think the whole yarn thing was a good idea for the woman with the stroller but she was ok. It was fun.
until next time au revoir!

USING SPANISH IN FRANCE...OOPS
Today at the local bakery, i accidently said yes in Spanish instead of saying it in French. I am so used to everyone back home saying yes in Spanish that i slipped up and said si to the nice lady instead of saying oui. It was pretty funny. But i did learn that the French do say si si when they are trying to contradict someone in an arugument. Thank you Madame Faur!!!

FIRST ADVENTURE
Today was awesome!!! This morning we first went to King Henry VIII mistress' castle and it was beautiful. Chateau de Chenonceau. After that we went to the Musee Des Beaurx Arts in Tours. It was such a great museum and i really put some previous art appreciation class knowledge to good use there. I felt to smart. lol. The massive cathedral was next followed by some superb shopping. After the day was almost to a close we stopped to grab some dinner before the train ride home where Nijja, the master of sign language, taught us the proper way to say carry out box. Hilar!!!
